Geocache Description:

Patty Hearst's Tuxedo

I was perusing the calendar and noticed a weekend that had no geocaching events. What to do? Oh, what to do? Why . . . hold an event, of course! Here's the scoop . . .

Why?
Well, why the heck not?? It's February 5th - isn't that good enough? But wait, there's more!
  • Everybody's welcome . . . whether you're 9 months or 90!
  • Caching talk. There's nobody better to spend dinner with than other cachers. Share your caching tales and expertise. New cachers are especially encouraged to join us. What better place to find a caching partner or two, or a hint or tip for that one sticky cache that you've already visited three times. Maybe you'll meet the owner here.
  • The pizza will be half price so long as when you order you let them know you're part of the geeky group in the back.
  • Free stuff! There'll be a raffle (one free ticket per person) for a geocoin or two. If I can beg, borrow or steal more, then there'll be more free stuff to have a chance at winning.
  • Poker talk. Texas Hold 'Em seems to be the big game amongst cachers in this state, with tournaments being held as fund raisers for the upcoming Geowoodstock. Many have said they'd like to play, but haven't yet sat down at the table. We'll try to talk you into it, with a run down of what happens at such an event and what you need to know. We won't play a game and we won't give away our strategies, but you might find it's easier than you thought!

When?
6:00 PM - 7:45 PM
Friday, February 5, 2010

Where?
Alfy's Pizza - Frontier Village
9302 N Davies Road
Lake Stevens

And if you need any other reasons to celebrate, try these February 5th events on for size:
