Hike to the top of Ben Lomond peak north of Ogden. Elevation: 9729 Feet
Their are 4 different trailheads. The most chalanging and bragable is the North Ogden divide Path on the road between North Ogden and Liberty. This is a good to fair path with a 3500 foot, 8 mile climb in elevation.There is a place at the top of the pass to park and a sign at the trail head. Plan on a 4 hour or more hour hike up (a little faster coming down). I don't have specific details on the following trails. I just know they are there. There is a trail from the east side of Williard Peak that is about an hour hike since you can drive so close to the top. There is a trail head at a horse corral at the end of a rod coming from Mantua (between Brigham City and Logan). Also there is a trail somewhere on the Liberty side of the mountain. If anyone has a hiking guide with details about the last three please email me the directions and hiking times and conditions. Original cache is more survival in nature. 2 emergency candles, 2 boxes of waterproof matches, 2 emergency ponchos, a "Cuts & Scrapes" bandaid first aid kit, 2 pencils, notepad for signing, a small pen knife for sharpening the pencils, a key chain compass and a camera to take your picture with.
