Geocache Description:

This is a multi cache just off of the Abington Trail on the East side of Route 407 in the Lackawanna State Park. Part 1 takes you to a small cache that holds the coordinates that will take you to Part 2, which is the final cache. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, put part 1 back exactly as you found it. Thanks!

As you hike along the trails be sure to stop when you come upon one of the many stone walls and check it out. These stone walls were built many, many years ago, and they have withstood the test of time and harsh weather. Be sure to get a good look at them realizing that every stone was placed there by hand, not a machine. Stone walls are very special and it’s too bad they can’t talk. I’m sure they would have great stories to tell about the animals they have seen and maybe even the first settlers who lived here. By the way they were the ones who put up these stone walls. When you search for Part 1 be sure to be on the look-out for the Whitetail Hunter. You’ll understand the name once you find it. The final cache is a ammo can filled with outdoor trade items. Beware! This section of the State Park is open to hunting. Please be cautious and if you are out during hunting season please wear orange. Happy Hunting!! Congrats to Pserine on FTF!!
