Scouting offers the sort of adventures that many youth never get
the opportunity to experience. From cycling to climbing to
SCUBA to caving, scouts get to explore their world. This
cache series is dedicated to the various activities that scouts can
partake in. Each cache, at its publishing, has a trading card
that highlights one of the many adventures in scouting and an
orienteering punch to punch an Adventures in Scouting score
card. This card can be downloaded at http://mtcbsa.org/assets/forms/AdventureofScoutingScoreCard.pdf.
Enjoy the adventure of Geocaching and experience some of the
adventures of Scouting through this cache!
This cache is near the ball fields behind East Middle School in
the East Park Natural Area. The walking is easy, with no
elevation changes. Parking is available in front of the
school, and you can either enter the woods immediately, or walk
down the gravel road and go beyond the cache for an easy entrance
to this area at the sign (see picture). If it has rained
much, you will need your boots to get across the small creek.
The City of Tullahoma and the Federal State Agricultural
departments have established a nature trail on the north side of
East Middle School in Tullahoma. The walking trail is a maze
that reaches back into the 20-30 foot trees. Along the trail,
and at each lobe is a new tree type. After you find the
cache, you might want to explore the other parts of the maze.
