Another in the series of Borrego Steel Artworks by Ricardo Breceda. This particular sculpture is of an eagle carrying away a boar.
These sculptures, commissioned by Dennis Avery, are placed all over the desert floor of Borrego Springs and range from eagles to mastodons, to dinosaurs. Maps are available at the linked web site and well worth the day it will take to see all of them. I'm going to try and put a micro at many of them, so have fun finding them. This particular micro is about the size of a film canister with a magnetic lid. Not enough room for pen or pencil, so bring your own.
