The cache is within the grounds of the former Carlton Hayes mental health hospital which is now an office park. It is located close to a public footpath which was recently reopened to the public after being closed in the 80s
& forms part of the Fosse Way.The path is well marked but becomes very muddy after any sort of rain so is not suitable for wheel chairs.
The area is very popular with dog walkers and is close a municipal golf course some stealth and care is required especially at weekends
The cache is a medium sized sandwich box, which has space for swaps and travel bugs.
It has the usual log book and pen as well as some initial swaps. There is also a first to find prize which is relevant to the location of the cache.
Due to the fact that the car parking at the office park is private, hunters should park at either the housing estate (N52 34.508 W001 12.410) or the leisure centre car park (N52 35.118 W001 12.346) and follow the footpath. The 50 and 50A buses stop within walking distance of the cache.
