Geocache Description:

Location Information:

This cache is located along a hiking trail in Elmwood City Park located between 18th and 19th street (I know it doesn't show on an internet map). It should be easily located any time of year, including the winter. Parking for this cache can be found at N 44 53.132, W 091 54.691 or downloaded as an additional waypoint.

Cache Detailed Information:

This is a tribute cache to the retirement of a great teacher, Red Granite. He has been a middle school science teacher for the last 32 years for the Menomonie School District and as of January 26, 2010 Red Granite retires from a formal job of teaching.

I am sure many are wanting to ask, "Exactly what are you going to do with all your time now that you are retired?" Red Granite's favorite response, "Geocaching!"

Thus on Red Granite's last day, we [his family] arrived at the school in a white limo and our first order of business was locating this tribute cache. I also started this cache with a multitude of retirement and teaching keepsakes to stick with the current theme of this tribute.
