Geocache Description:

*** This cache requires a kayak/canoe. IMPORTANT TIDE INFORMATION From the initial experiences, mid-lower tides appear to be better for this. On very low tides you may have to drag a bit in a couple of places. On high tides you will have to climb through branches and will probably not get through at all. The perfect condition is estimated to be a tide of 0.4m. Intrepid explorers should also be covered in copious amounts of TROPICAL STRENGTH MOZZIE REPELLENT ***

The oDoD bird has long been thought to be extinct. On an expedition through the wilds of Torrens Island, the explorers Wurke and Bills spotted one of these elusive birds.

Ever since then, intrepid explorers have been venturing into these wilds to try and discover these birds for themselves. Some of these explorations have ended in disaster such as the case of TiedyeSmiley Crusoe (see TiedyeSmiley Crusoe - GC23BZ4for more details). Mr and Mrs TiedyeSmileys set out in search of their cousin TiedyeSmiley Crusoe but were forced back when bad weather set in (see Wreck of the SS TiedyeSmileys - GC22NKV).

Just before they turned back, Mr and Mrs TiedyeSmileys took a photo of themselves near the published coords. Only after they were eventually rescued and had their film developed did they notice something oD in the background of their photo.

If you are able to navigate up this waterway, you may be able to find the home of one of these shy birds.
