Geocache Description:

The twenty-sixth of the monthly roving geocaching get-togethers for cachers from Bucks, Beds, Herts and beyond! A mid-week, evening event for idle caching chitchat.

The Old Cock, your target for the night

When: THURSDAY 18 February 2010, from 7.00pm 'til 11.00pm

Where: The Old Cock Inn

58 High Street

Harpenden

AL5 2SP

Tel: 01582-712649

The Old Cock Inn is a traditional 16th Century pub in the centre of Harpenden, with a relaxed ambiance where anyone and everyone is welcome (even cachers??). Homecooked food is available all day until 9.00pm. Small car park, but plenty of on-street parking close by – try Church Green or Rothamsted Avenue. Harpenden Station is 5 minutes walk, for trains from St Pancras and Bedford. Luton Airport is less than 5 miles for those coming from further afield!

Why: Ask Alibags, she made me do it! ;)

Who: All Geocachers are welcome, but the regulars are from Bucks, Beds & Herts (the clue is in the name!).

What: This is the 26th of an ongoing series of mid-monthly-ish, mid-week-ish, regular events at various locations handy for natives of the three counties to talk caching, plan expeditions and (have Alison) decide who's organising the next one. There's a good selection of caches in the area if you want to make more of a day of it.
