This is a nice short hike in a Park in Des Moines. The terrain is
pretty easy until "Decision Time". Park at N 41°34.563' -
W093°40.984'
My first placed cache! Joining me on this beautiful fall afternoon
was my family visiting from out of town. It was a great day. Erika,
Erinn, Jen, Pete, and the dogs (Fallie and Winston) and I went on a
nice hike looking for the perfect spot for our first cache. This is
a nice short hike in a Park in Des Moines. The terrain is pretty
easy until "Decision Time". Park at N 41°34.563' - W093°40.984'
Follow the Bill Riley Trail south. There are a lot of animals on
the way. Long pants are probably good, and I would be very careful
for animals at night. The container is a medium sized green ammo
box, placed on the ground. The coordinates were taken with an eTrex
Vista. The contents are: Updated Items 7/23/2003: There is so much
new stuff in this cache!! It is PACKED full of stuff!! I updated
the coordinates because of all of the comments about the
coordinates being off. I will leave the old coordinates in the
notes just in case they are useful. The old coordinates are "N 41
34.091 by W 093 40.795".
