Geocache Description:


In 1952, the second wave to the Uptown Shopping Center was built in Midwest City. TG&Y was once homed in the this center where you see Micheals today. When Tomlinson, Gosselin, and Young- three Oklahoman businessmen opened their first jointly owned outlet in 1936, the company's name came from the initials of their last names, placed in order of their age, with Tomlinson being the oldest. The philosophy of "have what people want at a price they can afford to pay."
The shopping center had undergone several changes through the years. Compare the before and after pictures to see the many changes.
