This part of walk takes in a cairn! Built in 2000Ad to commemorate the millennium.
Nearby are the ruins of Ferntower House, once part of extensive grounds which now house the Crieff Golf club.
If you look at the nearby trees and plants hidden in the woodland around here are you will see that they are species which were obviously once part of the gardens of Ferntower House, to include mature rhododendrons with huge thick trunks as tall as trees themselves.
Can be done as part of the Knock walk from Crieff Hydro parking, or approached from Gilmerton end following the signpost at Gilmerton parking for footpath to Crieff, this path goes along edge of golf course at one point.
