Geocache Description:


On an overnight snow camping trip with some friends, lonnie cache and I hoped to pick up a couple of caches. To our dismay we found that there were none in the area. Therefore we thought we'd fix that so others who came to this beautiful place would have that extra little something to look forward to.

This cache has year-round access and can be retrieved in the winter (bring snowshoes) without having to stay the night. It's about a 2 mile walk in from the golden road on relatively moderate terrain. You are looking for a Nalgene bottle with a funny sticker. Don't forget the camera!

The cache gets it's name because the night before we placed this cache, we stayed by the lake in a quinzee. The outside temperature was a very windy minus 19 degrees. When we arose at 5am and eventually (it's hard to leave a warm sleeping bag) made our way out of the shelter, it felt twice as cold. Shortly after when we placed this cache, it was still, well... cold as heck!
