Geocache Description:

March 3, 2014
The trail across the valley now passable (thanks to the mountain bike club). There are 2 ways to this GC.
Via the X-country ski trails, or as described below.
This is a replacement for the original GC. First to find gets a beer cozy - after all, summer is right around the corner.
Have fun.

Accross the valley/swamp from the beaten path...
To get across:
Winter (Dec-March)
Use the power line behind Logan subdivision...cross the now frozen swamp...look left for the small foot trail. An old survey marker tells you that the GC is closeby.
GC has a log book, pencil, and some Yukon pins. If you are visiting the Yukon, help yourself to a pin.
Spring, Summer, Fall (April-Oct/Nov)
Go to the following UTM coordinates:
Zone 08V
0493723
6728636
This will put you on a small plateau, just below the main ridge trail behind Northstar Drive. You should see the new trail descending down to your right. This takes you to the valley floor via switchbacks and boardwalks.
Follow the trail and ascend the other side. The new trail switches back and is easy to climb. This will take you to the South ridge.
Have fun...enjoy the trails.
