that accesses the Lusk Creek Ridge and its panoramic views.
View from the cache
This cache was placed while on a hike with BVPete and Brutus
generally following the CBMocha route from Hwy 68 up to the Lusk
Creek Ridge. The cache location is in the vicinity of the rock band
where the route reaches the ridge. From there you can explore the
up and down ridge walk to reach the South Summit where I ventured
to and/or the North Summit where BVPete placed a new cache, Lusk
Creek Ridge - North Summit -
GC23M9D. At time of publication there were a total of 6 caches
along this wonderful ridge at various viewpoints. The parking we
used is provided as well as the route taken to the cache and on to
the South Summit. The return hike from this cache is about 4km with
a 400m elevation gain. The return hike if you access the South
Summit is about 10.7km with 600m elevation gain from parking, but a
cumulative gain of about 800m from up and down hiking if you visit
the Central Summit on your route. Enjoy your hike and as always
exercise caution.
The cache is a .30 cal ammo can with a ten spot and a finder's card
for the FTF, finder's cards for the next 9 finders, a log, pencils
and the usual swag. The cache should be winter friendly. Please
rehide it as found. Good luck!
Congratulations to
Sleepy_hollow on being FTF
