POSTED COORDINATES ARE NOT CORRECT


This make believe tale places young Jimmy in a tiny old-fashioned one-room country schoolhouse. Only four windows and one door allowed seven students to see if it were sunny and what was going on outside.



The teacher was very beautiful and quite intelligent or so it seemed to Jimmy. Assigned studies could almost always be completed before class was over. Young Jimmy was on cloud nine and loved each and every day, but none of the other two girls and four boys felt the same way. Instead, they despised the thought of sitting in the classroom to read, add, multiply, find square roots, and learn their A, B, and C’s.


One day, Jimmy was given nine lessons requiring very close scrutiny and attention to fine detail. As numbers were floating all around, Jimmy suddenly felt panic stricken, lost, and confused. How on Earth could he ever successfully complete this assignment of determining the square root of two times eight before it was time to go home at three o’clock? Resorting to memory and/or written notes for a quick solution served no purpose because all it did was bring up more puzzling questions. Bewildered, he resorted to asking for some help from Tommy who he felt was a close friend. He soon learned that his friend was indeed no friend at all because Tommy immediately ratted on him. Jimmy was in deep trouble because the teacher severely scolded him for trying to cheat. Jimmy was also assigned the task of completing the daily lessons for everybody else.


Young Jimmy felt betrayed and believed unfair punishment was assigned, but as reality sat in, Jimmy soon realized that school is for learning and that cheating does not advance one’s education.
