ChiLai-NanWha means ChiLai south peak (N24 03.673 E121 16.791) and
Mt. Nanwha (N24 02.360 E121 17.156 ), which are both the Taiwan 100
mountains.
Because ChiLai-Nanwha is a very populor hiking trial, some bad
hikers leave their trach on the trail. We plan to climb
ChiLai-Nanwha on 3/13~3/14. we will start hiking from the trailhead
(N24 03.162 E121 13.037 ) to Tianchi Lodge (N24 02.724 E121 16.771)
and stay at Tianchi Lodge one night (3/13). On 3/14, we will go to
ChiLai south peak and Mt. Nanwha and then go back to trailhead.
This is a CITO cache, so we not only go to visit these two high
mountains but also take the trash out as many as we can on the
trail.
Pay Attention:
1. This CITO event may be canceled or changed the event date by
bad weather or other issues. Please add this cache into your watch
list.
2. Please consider your physical strength before joining this
event. ChiLai-Nanwha is not an easy hiking trail. The total walking
distance (2 days) is ~40km and must climb up to 3358m (ChiLai south
peak)
3. Because the capacity limitation of Tianchi Lodge, I schedule to
book the beds for us on 2/9. If you descide to go with us. Please
tell me you will attend before 2/8. Thanks.
