Mooney625's Quick Commute P&G Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mooney625: Due to the new app and the pay to play over 1/1 (or at least that seems to be what it is) coming, I will no longer be placing or maintaining caches, and will decide at some point in the future if I will play again.

As I understand Groundspeak is a business entity, I understand the revenue may be needed, but for volunteers to spend time and money for so long, then get kicked like this with the "new" app, well- it is what it is. If I have to pay to play, those hiding should be entitled to reimbursement, IMHO.

Thanks to all who have found my little cache, I'll remove it soon.

Best regards,

Mooney625

Geocache Description:

CONGRATULATIONS TO CRAZY DIAMONDS FOR THE FIRST TO FIND!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick P & G for a winter fix.

Finally! A shorter ride to work! I placed this 'cuz it's cold, and I figured some folks could use a quick fix. Aside being quite near to a different view of an ordinary sight, it's pretty boring. It IS near access for a few others, so this should be a quick smiley on your way to or from them (or anywhere else).

I wondered for a long time how to get to the high point of the nearby structure, and it oddly is now part of my daily jaunt. Take a moment to think of the fellow servicemen aboard U.S.S. Gudgeon (SS-211) who were lost the same time the man who this structure is named after. Herbert F. Patriquin, Sr. was lost in WWII. According to my research, his sub was lost in an apparent air to sea attack near Iwo Jima in 1944.

You'll need a writing implement, and I hope you can take the time to enjoy the odd view (ala The Lost HighwayCache (GC1EM0K)...).

Bring your own pen!! No room for one or any trade items. Don't block the gravel road, it's an active driveway. There's a nice breakdown lane and a nice sidewalk that'll get you really close.

YOU NEED A BALLPOINT PEN TO LOG THIS. The log sheet is a piece of Tyvek envelope, and only a pen or marker will work (keeps it nice and waterproof though).
