White River lies just north of Nelspruit and a mere 30minute drive from the border with the Kruger National Park. It is not a large town but it is certainly an area of stunning scenic beauty and is also a great place from which to discover all the attractions in the Lowveld. The climate is said to be one of the best in South Africa, lovely and hot days in summer when rainfall is at its highest and cool nights during the winter. The town also has a reputation for arts & crafts and also being one of the safest towns in South Africa to live in.
Property remains a valuable investment in White River. Development is on-going, with an abundance of property to buy or rent. This small town has more than 15 life style security estates which cater for those who can afford a vacation house in the Lowveld.
Only a few of the newer estates can be seen along this road on the way to the cache and there are still a number of stands available. So, if you’ve got a few million R/$/¥/£ laying around somewhere, White River might be a great place to invest in.
The cache is hidden on the side of a little plantation, next to an old pump house. The plantation will someday probably also becomes an exclusive estate, but there are no plans for it for the near future.
