Bolt-in Potholes (PokerRun2010) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

brogz: Seeing as though I haven't been in the area for awhile, and won't be for longer period of time, Card54 has offered to take over this location and replace the cache in its original spot. I am happy to know future geocachers will still get to experience this awesome location! Thanks Card54! -brogz

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bolt-in Potholes! My first hide!

Bolt-in Potholes, or for out-of-staters, Bol-TON Potholes, is the ideal summer spot for cliff jumping, sun bathing and chit chatting with friends. I first went to the Bolton Potholes when I was in middle school and have been going there at least every summer since then. In summer '08 I brought jmthomps there for our first date.

We returned in February two years later, and hid this cache. The falls were partially frozen and it was quite spectacular to see it in this frozen state. This really is an awesome spot to check out year round. As long as there is no more than 6 inches, this is a winter-friendly cache. I hope you enjoy this location, and encourage you to include pictures and stories of your visit! FTF prize donated by jmthomps.

Note: You do NOT have to cross the creek to find this cache! Good luck!

Parking can be found right off of the Bolton Access Rd. Just make sure all 4 tires are completely off the road and there is no problem!

This cache contains game pieces for the Poker Run 2010, a fun geocaching activity that has been organized in conjuction with the VT Winter Mix 2010 Event (Feb 21st), GC23EAG . PLEASE do not take a game piece unless you plan on attending the event! For a full explanation of the Poker Run 2010 and how to participate, please refer to the event page mentioned above: GC23EAG. Thanks!
