cervisvenator: Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

"Riksen"

English version:
Supporters of the old, Norwegian telephone box "Riksen" celebrates the telephone kiosk day March 4th.
The popular Norwegian, red telephone box was designed by architect Georg Fredrik Fasting in 1932. It consists of a shell of angle iron with metal plates. At the most it was deployed approximately 6,000 payphones in the country. Today it is under 400 which is still in operation, of which this is one of them.
It's made many record attempts with the largest possible amount of persons in a phone box at the same time, but because the boxes will vary from country to country, it is not listed any world record. The Norwegian record was, according to Guinness World Records set in Narvik in 1993, when 20 people over 18 years found a place in a normal telephone box.

For curiosities sake the official definition of a telephone box is the following:
A telephone box is a small building - or a small cubicle with a door that is located in a public place, and that includes a fixed telephone for general use. Telephone device is part of a payment machine, and calls are paid with coins, phone cards or credit cards. Phone boxes can also include phone books, shelves and bulletin board.
