OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

This cache is located in Longswamp Township Park in Mertztown, PA. Park inside the Township Park, near the PortaPotty. In general the terrain is flat and easy, being part of walking trails in the park.
***************************************************
Longswamp Township was settled in 1734 chiefly by German settlers, who came from Goshenhoppen and Oley. The early farmers found the fertile valley land to be swampy in places, and therefore gave it the name it bears today.
The streams of Longswamp provided plenty of water power for forges, furnaces and grist mills locally. The 1790s saw operations at Sally Ann Furnace on the upper Sacony and Mary Ann Furnace on the Little Lehigh. Although dates are not precisely known, Sally Ann Furnace operated for nearly 100 years. The iron furnaces were made possible with the close proximity of water, timber for charcoal, iron ore and limestone. At Mary Ann Furnace, early stove plates were cast for 'Lehigh Coal Stoves.'
Other natural resources have affected the industry hereabouts. Gypsum, white clay for porcelain and wallpaper manufacture, and graphite were mined here. Ochre, a yellowish tan soft rock was mined and used for paint pigment. Excellent and abundant iron ore was heavily mined locally. The large open pit mines for various materials can still be seen today between the park and Rte. 222.

In this mystery cache, you will have to translate this passage for clues to find Stage 1: I used 'Google translate' , which gets you close to the meaning of the original English. I've changed the passage some, because the translator kept changing 'bench' to 'bank', which understandably was confusing to most seekers.
Start am Parkplatz in der Nähe der Porta Töpfchen. Walk in Richtung Norden entlang der Ausübung Weg. Pass the blue Fichten. Keep walking. Suchen Sie nach einem Platz zum Sitzen. Sie wird die erste Stufe dort zu finden.
Stage 1 will reveal information to help find Stage 2. Once you find Stage 2, more information will be revealed to help you locate Stage 3.
You may need your extraction tool. There is poison ivy in summer, which I will continue to do my best to control.
A variety of containers are used throughout to make it interesting for the seeker. Originally, the final cache included an American flag geocoin, 'What a View' German Stutka TB and a duck flashlight keychain.
