Geocache Description:

200ml Sistema Container with logbook, pen, geocaching information card and some initial swaps. I gave the terrain rating a 2.5 because it is set a little bit off the made tracks. You will have to either walk in or drive to it in something more than a sedan. The walk is only short (under 200m).

I was driving home from Tocumwal after being in Mulwala finding another cache. I had my twins with me, James and Jemma, who usually find their way with me on a lot of caching runs. So i thought, they can find a nice hidey hole for a cache.

I have always wanted to go into the Mulwala State Park, after having driven past it many times. After all the recent rains i wasn't sure what the tracks would be like, so i took the punt.

Finding a nice suitable spot in the park, i got the twins out, James and Jemma and sent them off on a short walk with the instructions "Find a spot to hide a treasure". After about one minute i hear the inevitable call "Daddy, i found something, here....!!"

I guess all the geocaching trips i took them on have rubbed off, because they found a very good spot, pretty quickly. So this is their cache. They put a few of their army men in there for initial swaps.

The river is not to far away and there are some fantastic beaches on the river in this State Park.

Suitable for little people (kiddies) but i would let them find it with adult supervision, snakes in the summer are always a risk in this part of the world, very dangerous snakes like browns and tigers..... Just letting you all know.

Mulwala State Forest Information:

The Mulwala State Forest is located off the Mulwala - Barooga Road about 10 kms from Mulwala. It is a beautiful and scenic location with much bird and other wildlife. The forest is also home to abundant wetlands, which have been dry for at least 3 years until the time i placed this cache.....!
