Geocache Description:

I chose this location because if you look south west at night the street lamps appear to outline the shape of a pigs head, this always struck me as very appropriate given the legend on the coat of arms.

Not far from the road. the cache is a round snap lock box with a few items to swap, there is also a medal the first to find may keep.

Well donepaulbarratt on your FTF

On Bradford’s coat of arms there is a boars head, this refers to a legend dating back to the 1670's.
In the legend we're told that a furious wild boar lived in Heaton woods, where it terrorised the local population.
The lord of the manor offered a reward for its killing. A hunter duly dispatched the boar and cut out its tongue as proof of his deed.
Later that day another man came across the dead beast and decided to cut its head off in order to try and claim the reward.
At court the rightful winner was rewarded with a plot of land called Hunt yard and the cheat was left to explain the tongue less head.
