This micro cache is located near Welleby Park, my favorite park in
Sunrise. I love walking in this park. You can find this cache when
the park is closed. Please bring your own writing tool as there is
no room for one in the cache.
Location: Welleby Park is just southwest of the corner of NW 44
Street and Hiatus Road.
Hours: Open daily, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. during
Daylight Saving Time)
Overview: At nearly 29 acres, Welleby Park is one of the largest
parks in the City - and one of its most utilized. The park offers
year-round recreational opportunities for Sunrise residents, and is
the site of the Woodstock Arts & Crafts festival.
The park features ten picnic pavilions, as well as an extensive
children's play area with playground equipment atop a rubberized
safety surface.
Welleby Park also has a restroom facility and a walking
path.
CACHERS TAKE HEED! DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ANY
CACHE! WHAT MAY BE A QUICK PARK AND GRAB FOR YOU CAN BE AN EVEN
QUICKER P&G FOR OTHERS. I know, my van was broken into at a
cache in a very nice park and my purse and other valuables were
stolen. Hoping my misfortune will make other cachers more
aware.
