Geocache Description:

On May 3rd 2000 David Ulmer placed the world's first geocache (GPS stash) in a five-gallon bucket near his home just outside Portland, Oregon, USA . Ten years later and the hobby has gone from strength to strength.

Its a little bit far to go all the way to Oregon to celebrate at the Original Stash Tribute Cache GCGV0P, so please join us for a picnic lunch near The First in Wales to celebrate it being 10 years to the day since the placement of the first cache in the world.

The only surviving contents of the World's first geocache - the Original Can of Beans

Please join us between 12 and 2 at the summit of the Blorenge to snack on sandwiches, nibble a few crisps and to raise a glass or two of cheap sparkly stuff to celebrate the anniversary of this landmark occasion in the history of the human race....and who knows, the fresh air and exercise may help you to recover from the excesses of the 5th Annual South Wales Geocaching Event!
