The North Wind Doth Blow…….and We Shalt Generateth Electrithity
A pleasant stroll up to the Glens of Foudland Wind Turbines. Great views. Good for dogs. Just a gentle incline, no climbing. Car parking.
Parking available at N57 25 371 W002 37 935
Follow the track as it climbs gently up the hill. When barbed wire seems to block the way, take the track down to the right.. A gate soon appears on the left, this is the way to the turbines, but before you go through, take the time to admire the views just a little further on, at the end of the original track. If you have a good map, an alternate route back may be found, otherwise just re-trace your steps back to the car.
The first time we came here in December ’09 the snow was waist deep, so just be careful that’s all. Oh and its ALWAYS MUDDY.
