Geocache Description:

Texas, the “Lone Star State,” joined the union on December 29th, 1845. Texas, meaning “friend” by many of the Native American tribes, is nicknamed “The Lone Star State” as it was once an independent republic.

Lone Star is also a brand of beer, called “The National Beer of Texas.”

This cache has nothing to do with the beer, but a star figures prominently.

This is another site that my wife and I found when we lived in a nearby apartment complex. We enjoy a nice walk after dinner, and happened upon what we thought would be a great spot for a cache during one of these walks.

You are looking for a small, round camouflaged lock and lock, about the size of a hockey puck.

There is a private community near the cache location, but there is NO reason to go past the entrance to this community. Just stay to the south of the entrance and there will be no problem.

There is room for a few path tags, but you will need something to write with.

Have fun, be safe, and happy caching!
