2010 is the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. This cache extends a family Boy Scout merit badge project, so is a scout-themed find. Scouting has embraced geocaching as an eco-friendly way to enjoy and explore the outdoors, and use gadgety high-tech tools as well. 2010 will be the first year of the Geocaching Merit Badge!
So what does this mean? It means that scouting ROCKS and geocaching ROCKS!
This cache is a unique hide, in the woods off a well-traveled paved path in West Cary. It is muggle dense, and in view of residences, teens and tweens, so be very discrete.
Included is a first-to-find pin, a cool scout patch and some other goodies. You may need to bring your own writing instrument if you can't get the pencil out of this irregular cache.
