This is the 3rd year (2nd contract) where GONIL has participated
in the Adopt-A-Road program in Lake County. The section of road is
actually a bike path between Libertyville and Lake Bluff. The
clean-up should take about 90 minutes (less if we have a lot of
folks, more if only a few). Lake County has posted a sign along
this section of bike path announcing our contribution to keeping
their land (your land, our land) clean.
Bring gloves and your own trash pick-up sticks. Garbage bags and
green vests will be provided by the County. If you have any
5-gallon buckets (like the orange ones from the local home
improvement stores, bring them along; they are really handy for
collecting trash in and then putting it into the trash bags.
There are 2 or 3 caches located along or near the bike path as
well as others in the general vicinity so bring your GPSr too.
