Geocache Description:

Quick desert find, easily hiked to but even easier with an off road vehicle of any type. I've been back here on 2WD many times too. About 150 feet off of a nice and easy trail.

Original contents include a log book, pen, a couple of my personal pathtags that you may take, leave, or whatever, and some American Flag pins. It is an interesting ammo can, actually a rocket tube, camo'd to match its environment. Has some sticks laying over it to help the camo. Please put them back when you're done.

This desert area outside of Blythe has been home to my family and I for a very, very long time now. So when we started geocaching and realized that there wasn't much out here, we knew we had to change it. This is way too good of a geocaching area to only have a few geocaches!

Not much out here. Gets pretty lonely, especially in this particular area. Get out of the car and take a nice walk in the desert! Or, take the car. Your call. This cache is located just west of HWY 95 in the Blythe desert. You'll pass "the shooting hill" as you head towards it. You'll know why they call it that when you pass it. Lot's of brass, spent shells, and random office equipment full of bullet holes laying around. Once you're past that, it's pretty close, and it's just off the trail.

This camo'd rocket tube is attached to a dead tree, no need to take it off. Just remove the lid when you find it and remove its contents. If you MUST remove it, please be careful and put it back without breaking the tree. Should be a pretty easy find once you're in the right area.

Here in the desert, we have critters that call this home too. Some of these critters are the not so friendly type that like to bite, sting, and poison geocachers. This is especially a concern during the warmer summer months. Please, please, PLEASE be careful of these desert creatures. They were nice enough to allow me to place this cache in their home, so try to respect them and watch out for them along the way.

Good luck, desert geocachers!

AND CONGRATS TO PATS4X4 ON HIS FTF!!! NICE WORK!!!
