Parking Coordinate No. 1 is for the New Trailhead / Parking and makes for an easier hike up the Coxheath Hills to the Pittman Lodge. The cabin is open year round for rest and warmth, arrangements can be made for overnighting. Sign their log book and say thanks.
This will be the START / END point for the newly developed trails.
These trails are still under construction and some caution and common sense is required. The trail is being graveled, bridges constructed and will soon be one of the premier hiking/walking trails on our fair Island.
A second and longer primative trail is under construction, but not yet open to the public.
Take some seed for the birds and squirrels and a bit of food and drink for yourself.
