Welcome to Historical Carlsruhe Mk. 2, a quick and easy multi replacing the muggled and now archived micro of the same name and continuing our historical tour of the Carlsruhe Federation Trail.
In 1837 Charles Hotson Ebden settled a sheep run at Carlsruhe thus establishing the first pastoral settlement north of The Great Divide in Victoria.
From this run grew the village of Carlsruhe named after the German University City of Karlsruhe where Ebden was educated.
At WP1 you will find a plaque marking the 150th. anniversary of the settlement of Carlsruhe.
