It's A Number 1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kokopeli: After five years we are archiving the Number series. Many thanks to all who have enjoyed our endeavors. Collected a lot of plastic today, and we're leaving the last five in place for those who want to finish the final climb.

Geocache Description:

So you'd like some numbers? We put out some numbers for you out on Gilman Road. Leave the interstate and those urban caches behind and join us on a backroad journey.

Expect a wide geocaching experience ahead. Some caches are easy, others we'd like to think a little tougher. They all add up to those coveted smilies we all enjoy. Gilman Road is a good two laned road that is paved for 17 miles, and our caches are strung out there and beyond. Standard vehicles will do just fine, and all caches were placed eastbound on the right hand side only, with no reason to ever need to turn in front of traffic. Turnouts will approach quickly so be ready. All stops are good surfaces, and were considered for ease of reentering the flow of traffic.

Drive ups? Many are, but several will be hikes or bike rides, and a few will be in serious terrain. Not everyone will get all the caches!! How many will you be signing?

The first cache has a hat with a FTF pin attached. Wonder how many pins can fit on that sucker??

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!! This cache was released on Saturday, February 27th, 2010.
Watching the FTF race has been quite rewarding, amusing, and even inspiring. The last First To Finds have been logged for the 60 caches. There are no losers. Special kudos to Mountainbikerik for the FTF on both numbers 1 and 60. Your log entries are spectacular, and we thank you for the entertainment.
Teco Mac and Tchas are animals, co-finding 25 pins on their epic day. Mountainbikerik garnered 20 by himself (15 on Saturday, 5 on Sunday) and shared a FTF with Lookout 4 and the infamous Big Bear. (Hey BB, kind of sucks to work Saturdays, doesn’t it?) Cable Cache and his able companion Pirate Booty Cache harvested 8 between them. Vulpine claims 4 pins, while partner Captain Marble cleaned up the list for the final 2.
Mrs. K has created duplicate pins for the co finders, and we will get those out to you so you can remember this weekend for a long time. Congratulations to all. It was our honor and privilege to present this series to you, our caching community. Thank you all for the gifts you have given us.
