Cache is located just off the main trail so don't go very high. This area is a sluff area where shale has dislodged from the canyon wall and slid downwards with the aid of gravity and water. Look up and you'll see a band of this unstable rock wedged between solid layers of rock. This band of rock extends the whole length of the canyon and makes for some interesting picture opportunities.
As always, be wary of snakes and other critters during the warmer months. Trail system is closed at dusk so please, no nighttime caching.
