Geocache Description:

This cache area is one of the many locations in this part of Georgia that was used in the first 5 episodes of the Dukes of Hazzard.

Bring you own pen to sign the log.

THERE IS NO NEED TO BE ON THE RAILROAD SIDE OF THE FENCE. PLEASE STAY OFF OF RAILROAD PROPERTY AS THIS IS A BUSY CSX RAILROAD LINE! ALSO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE RAILROAD CROSSING GATE. THE CACHE IS NOT ON THE OBJECT!

ONE MORE THING...THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED INSIDE A SHRUB OR ON A LIVING OBJECT. SO THERE IS NO NEED TO DESTROY THE LANDSCAPING WHEN HUNTING FOR THIS CACHE.

Here you will see a TV filming location of a railroad crossing police chase scene in one of the first 5 episodes of the TV series, "The Dukes of Hazzard". Below you will find 4 photos. 2 of them are TV screen captures and 2 additional photos taken by me in February 2010 from the approximate same spot the TV filming crew was set up during production. Today, the old Railroad Depot is home to two restaurants. Hunting for this cache during lunch and dinner hours are not recommended as there are many muggles in the area eating within the fenced in area.

Above is a screen shot taken from one of the first 5 TV episodes. The TV filming crew was set up at the intersection of Herring St and Emory St(Hwy 81) with the camera pointing to the South on Hwy 81. Notice Rosco's police car well behind the General Lee. Below is a photo taken by me in February 2010.

Below are 2 more photos from where the above TV scene continues.

Above is another TV screen capture from the same scene. Only the camera has now panned to the left and is now pointing East onto Herring St. Below is a photo taken by me in February 2010.

Please cover the cache back up after you have found it. I would not want the container to be thought of as trash.

HAPPY HUNTING!
