Located in Levis-Trow Mound recreation area near the top of Levis mound. Hiking and snowshoing is free along the 18 miles of trails here. Biking and skiing require a fee. Hikers, you are sharing single track trails with mountain bikers and bikers have the right of way. Please watch for bikes.
Without a doubt our favorite place to snowshoe in Wisconsin with the views from on top of the mounds about as good as anywhere in the state. Please park at the coords listed below and tackle this cache from the top of the mound via the vast network of trails through the area. Maps are available at the trail center/warming house and are highly recommended as the trail system is quite complex. Once at the top, find the Clarence trail and follow it to the end. You will pass the cache coords on the way in, it is below you, but at the waypoint you will descend a very short bit and backtrack to the cache location. Enjoy the views to the south towards Bruce Mound, they are awesome!
