This cache is just off the Ellen Davis trail, perfect for kids or those just getting started in the sport.
Named for the "loop" section of the Ellen Davis trail, this is a family-friendly cache that kids should be able to find without too much work. The trail is wide and graveled, and is frequented by joggers, mountain bikers, and dogs out for a stroll with their people.
You could probably take a jogger stroller on the trail if needed. There is public street parking on St. Johns Road about 1/4 mile to the north of the cache, or you're more interested in the journey you can start at the dog park about 1.5 miles to the southeast.
You're looking for a small camouflage ammo box (10"x3"x6") with a large Geocache sticker on the side. Inside, there is an assortment of kids games, crafts, and toys, and a funky log book made from recycled geocaching printouts. Pens and pencils are there too.
The cache is under tall tree cover, so you may need to "average" your GPS coordinates over several approaches to get close to the cache. There are some raspberry vines in the area, but nothing too fearsome.
