This cache is all about fun with palindromes. What is a palindrome,
you may ask?
A palindrome is a word or sentence that reads the same forward
as it does backward. "I" and "A" are both palindromes - simple ones
at that. More interesting are "race car" or perhaps "Golf? No sir,
prefer prison-flog." My geocaching username, "DrAwKwArD" is also
another example.
What do palindromes have to do with geocaching, you might be
wondering. Well, this puzzle cache works with palindromes to help
you find very specific coordinates outside of Irrigon. To do so,
you must locate the largest 2-digit numerical palindrome. Multiply
this 2-digit number by 3. ww*3=? Add 36. Take this 3-digit number,
convert it to a fraction (.xxx) and use it as the new north
coordinate. 53.xxx.
To compute the west coordinate, locate the lowest 3-digit
numerical palindrome (also a prime number!). Add this 3-digit
number with 6. yyy+6=?. Take this 3-digit number, convert it to a
fraction (.zzz) and plug it in as your west coordinate. 35.zzz. If
your final numbers look similar to n45 53.?3? w119 35.??7 than
you're looking good.
Now, go find it you Laminated E.T. animal!
