LONG VERSION -
(The Coordinates are for the start position, not for the cache itself.)
Oxted is a lovely town divided in 2 by the railway line (or 3 if you include Old Oxted, partitioned by the A25). This is the second of a couple of circular walks looking at interesting locations around Oxted. The cache is small in size.

There are a lot of parking possibilities but please watch the time limits. The start coordinates are for a car park in Oxted, approached via Ellice Road. It is free to park here at certain times of the day.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST display a parking ticket, even if you have parked within the free period. There are also public toilets here, should you need them.

Walk takes under 1 hour.
1) N51º15.491 W0º00.053 You are starting in Ellice Road Car Park. There are toilets here as well as a Citizen’s Advice Bureau. (visit link) Remember to display a ticket (even if you are in the free period). For how many hours can you park for free in Ellice Road? Answer = A. What is the fee for parking at 18:00 on Thursday? Answer = £N:PP

2) N51º15.481 W0º00.271 Exit through the alley (near to the toilets) into Station Road East and walk uphill towards the railway station. Have a look at the map – What is the Grid reference for The Barn Theatre? Answer = BC
***NOTE - Map is currently missing. For code C=2****

3) Continue up the hill. N51º15.544 W0º00.298 This is the location of Harry’s Youth Club, with its new graffiti wall. (visit link) When were the Walsted Cottages Built? Answer = DEEF

4) Turn East onto Bluehouse Lane. The coordinates take you to the building which is home to the Oxted United Reform Church, as well as the Oxted Pre-school; and even hosts the Bluehouse Arts Festival. (visit link) N51º15.591, W0º00.215 However, what time is the Sunday morning service? Answer = GH am.

5) Continue to walk East and you will arrive at The Barn Theatre, Oxted’s amateur dramatics theatre, on two levels. It is also home to the Oxted Operatic Society (which has a junior and senior group). (visit link) N51º15.595 W0º00.148 What is The Barn Theatre’s door number? Answer = IJ

6) Turn right onto Gresham Road and walk South. If you watch your GPS carefully, you will see it change from East to West while you cross the Meridian. N51º15.553 W0º00.000 Standing on the Meridian, what time are you not allowed to park here? Answer = K to L am.

7) Turn right again (staying on Gresham Road) and you will come to the site of the Oxted Library and Health Centre. The library hosts Reading Groups as well as a Writers’ Group lead by successful author – Stella Whitelaw. (visit link) N51º15.461 W0º00.004 What is the latest time Oxted Library is open? M pm.

You can return to the car park by following this road back to the Station Road East. On your left will be the Tandridge District Council, with its solar paneled roof. (visit link) (N51º15.423 W0º00.056) As you turn to walk up the hill you will pass two Meridian Markers placed in Oxted in 1984 to commemorate 100 years of GMT. There is a sneaky micro by Whiskywhiskymac hidden in the vicinity! (visit link) You are now close to your original starting place and we hope you have enjoyed this second, circular walk; but where is the cache?

The coordinates are:
North JDº GJ.(F-C)DI, East HHH ºNP.DG(L-K)
At the coordinates you are about 20 paces South of the cache location.
