In law enforcement, our days are varied much like those of a
cacher. Sometimes they are quiet trouble free hours and other times
the day is stressful and dangerous. Cachers like cops like what
they do; for the excitement of it, the satisfaction of getting one
more cache/crook; always knowing that there is one more cache/crook
down the road that needs dealing with. A law enforcement officer's
day might go something like this:
He might start his day with an emergency. It might be a hit and
run. It would not be a call that officers usually get so he might
ask the dispatcher to repeat. He would acknowledge her traffic and
immediately be in service. This day, however, could be as simple as
working a school crossing. When he completed the last assignment,
he would tell the operator his location and be in service for the
next call.
