L'antica chiesa di San Pietro sorge
nelle incantevoli colline tra Mason e San Giorgio, immersa nel
verde degli ulivi e dei ciliegi. Sorta prima del Mille, svolse
funzioni di parrocchia nella zona montana del paese. Fu riedificata
nel corso del 1400, ma con il progressivo spostarsi degli abitanti
verso la pianura, nel 1643 appariva completamente abbandonata.
Complice la solitaria bellezza del luogo, a partire dal 1700 fu
meta di eremiti e, nel corso del tempo, passò di mano in mano ai
nobili della zona. Fu radicalmente restaurata nel 1957 e,
successivamente, grazie all'opera del proprietario Ottorino Zanin e
del Padre francescano Ireneo Forgiarini da Gemona ha ritrovato
l'antico splendore. Oggi è un punto di riferimento per chi vuole
vivere un'esperienza di ritiro spirituale e rinfrancare anima e
corpo. L'atmosfera è raccolta, mistica e invita alla
contemplazione. Molte persone hanno gustato in questi anni la
bellezza e l'atmosfera che questa chiesa emana. L'eremo è un
ambiente religioso che, per la sua natura francescana, si apre al
dialogo con tutte le grandi religioni.
Il cache contiene unicamente il
logbook (portate con voi una penna). E' nascosto in un luogo
sempre accessibile.
Potete parcheggiare in prossimità del contenitore, se sono in corso
celebrazioni può essere più complicato. Per godere la visita
all'eremo dovete scendere un centinaio di metri lungo la via.

The ancient church of San Pietro is
located in the beautiful hills between Mason and St. George,
surrounded by green olive and cherry trees. Arose before the tenth
century, he carried out duties of the parish in the mountainous
area of the village. It was rebuilt during the 1400s, but with the
gradual shift of population towards the plains in 1643 looked
completely abandoned. Accomplice, the lonely beauty of the place,
starting in 1700 was the destination of hermits and, over time,
passed from hand to hand to the nobles of the area. It was
completely restored in 1957 and thereafter, thanks to the owner
Ottorino Zanin and Franciscan Father Irenaeus Forgiarini from
Gemona regained its former splendor. Today is a landmark for those
who want to experience spiritual retreat and rejuvenate body and
soul. The atmosphere is collected, mystical and invites

religious environment that, for the Franciscan nature, open to
dialogue with all the great religions.

You may park in the vicinity of the container, but may be more
complicated when celebrations are taking place. To enjoy the visit
the Hermitage you get a hundred meters along the road.
