This is the EDGE (El Dorado Geocaching Experience) group that
explored Fairyland for the first time on February 28,2010. From
left to right it is WandaDoo, FiveAlarmFrank, Walts Hunting,
GeoTigger and half of DogStars.
We parked in Sterling Pointe Park and embarked into this mysterious
land. Our first mission (right in the park) was a failure and we
thought we hadn't made the proper start. We gathered into a close
circle, threw some glitter into the air and all shouted "We
Believe" three times. There were some who wanted to do the
pentagram thing to make sure we covered all the bases but they were
out voted.
We headed out and while we never saw a fairy there were mysterious
things occurring on the periphery but when we turned to look there
was nothing.
I guess we were lucky because the Zombies must have driven off the
Rabid Rabbits as our day was filled with nothing but joy. I scaled
Rockin View with some assistance to get the cache for the group and
we chalked up one more Ammo Can. I only need two more for
Scoobert's Size Matters Challenge.
We found Blow It Out Your (Bleeep) much easier than the previous
cacher much to our surprise.
On the way out we were passing a hiker who was on the way in and he
must have noticed our strange behavior because he quietly said
"caching" as we passed so we all stopped and made the acquaintance
of GraniteMan84. While it was wonderful talking to him later it
turned to distress. GeoTigger and I have been tracking Pandora's
Key for a long time. Graniteman84 had it in his pocket and placed
it in a cache after seeing us. I guess we weren't humble enough to
the mysterious ruling powers of this land so they clouded our eyes
until we left. We will have to come back to the beautiful
palce.
The FTF prize for this Ammo Can is a Decon Container with a log
book to place your own cache and an unactivated TB you can use as
FTF or keep.
