Geocache Description:

A quick find designed to help seekers locate the preferred route to the Chukar Amphitheater cache.

While reading logs in preparation for our journey to the Chukar Amphitheater cache, EraSeek, lucyandrickie and I noticed that many people were going for the "direct" approach and running into private property issues and steep hillsides. lucyandrickie scanned the aerials for the area and were able to spot an old Jeep road running up the ridge from the highway to the cache that offers a much kinder slope and avoids any trespassing issues.

This cache is placed near a gate in the fence located at the start of that Jeep road in order to help fellow cachers locate this route. From here it is a relatively easy 1.2-mile hike to the Chukar Amphitheater cache. There is ample space at the side of the road for 2 or 3 cars to safely park well out of the way of traffic.

Please be sure to rehide the cache well, and enjoy the hunt!
