Blue Springs puts a lot of time and effort in making it's city a great place to live, work and Visit. One of the ways of doing this is with public art. Most of us work, walk, live or drive by public art every day and never take the time to really look at it. Well, here is your chance to change all that, take a moment to study, examine and get up close to a piece of public art.
Subdued Radiance is the name of this piece of public art. It was created out of galvanized steel. It measures 4 foot high and 3 foot wide. It was made by Beth Nybeck of Iowa.
Nybeck will graduate May 2010 with a bachelor's of fine arts from University of Northern Iowa.
Sold for $5500 to an undisclosed buyer and donated back to the city of Blue Springs.
Be careful cachers this art has quite a bite. Located along a Blue Springs walking trail. Please park at the provided coordinates. DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD.
Permission to place this cache was obtained from Blue Springs Parks and Rec.
