Geocaching is a fun hobby for the entire family! This high-tech
treasure hunting game is played throughout the world by adventure
seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate
hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your
experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age
groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the
environment.
Learn about:
- Basic geocaching
equipment
- How to look for a cache
online/ navigating Geocaching.com
- Tips and tricks to find
caches
- How to hide your own
Geocache
- Trackable items like
Geocoins, Travel bugs,
etc.
Experienced geocachers will help
you use a GPS to find the abundant treasures in the Conifer
/Evergreen area.
There will be a drawing for
prizes including rare Geocaching Colorado coin!
We will provide hot dogs and soft
drinks, please bring a side-dish, salad, or dessert to
share.
