For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever thought possible. And we'll continue that journey in the next century.
Cache to Cub Scouts
The Cub Scout program in the US began in 1930 and currently is open to boys in the 1st throught 5th grades. The Cub Scouts offers fun and challenging experiences that inspire confidence and teach important values. Cub Scout Geocaching is an important addition tot he Scout program. This cache is designed with the Cub Scout adn other young children in mind. Please leave appropriate toys and "swag" for young people of all programs.
This cache is placed near the entrance Camp Schoenwald, a 10 acre camping area acquired in 1952 and annually welcomes thousands of Boy and Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls and other youth groups for day camps and overnight camping each year. Facilities include a large outdoor teepee with a huge fireplace and a building for indoor activities and sleeping quarters. The natural and primitive setting has been carefully retained, and is offered free of cost to all qualifying youth organizations.
In addition to this cache, we have hidden four other caches that highlight the "Treasures of Scouting" and twelve "Cache to Eagle" caches that highlight projects within the 12 districts of the Chief Seattle Council. Visit the Chief Seattle Council - 100th Anniversary Geocaching website for more details and list of the other Cache to Eagle cache locations.
