This cache is hidden on the Pearman Family Farm. In 1921 Robert Pearman purchased the first tract of what would eventually become a 225 acre family farming operation. Robert and his wife Anna Belle raised fourteen children while deriving income from traditional farming practices and fallen trees in the forest during the depression and beyond.
In 2000 an effort to protect this pristine property was begun by LaRue Fiscal Court. The acquisition was made possible by a grant provided by the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund for the preservation, education and enjoyment of citizens of The Commonwealth. Take the Eastern Primitive Trail to get to this cache.
Imagine the fun the 14 Pearman children must have had working and playing on this farm. I'm sure the Pearman forest is full of wildlife, including owls.
The cache is an ammo box.
The park is open sunrise to sunset. Parking at N37 34.314 W085 42.373. Located on Highway 1794 (Leafdale Road) off Highway 31E.
