Geocache Description:

The Olympic Flame is a symbol of the Olympic Games. Commemorating the theft of fire from the Greek god Zeus by Prometheus, its origins lie in ancient Greece, where a fire was kept burning throughout the celebration of the ancient Olympics. The fire was reintroduced at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, and it has been part of the modern Olympic Games ever since.

This lonely cauldron used to be part of the 'Albergue Olimpico', however having PR52 to one side and a road that leads to the highway on the other side was not practical. A second cauldron was built inside the sport complex and this one was abandoned. Today it stands as a reminder of the proud Olympic Spirit that lives inside the people of Puerto Rico.

You are looking for a micro container around the cauldron. To access this cache park at the toll plaza public lot and walk from there. Stealth is a must! There is a police station next to the hill leading to GZ so don't be suspicious or you will have to answer some questions. I don't recommend this cache at night.

"Salve el Deporte, Viva la Paz"
