Geocache Description:

Be Prepared!
Look for a regular sized LocknStock waterproof container. Scout treasures for Outdoor Fun are inside.
This cache is available 24/7, but do be aware that major stealth is required because the parking lot is frequently full of muggles. Scout meetings are common in the evenings, too. be careful of thorny vines near the cache and uncertain footing. NO TRAVEL BUGS or COINS until we see if this one goes missing (the first one did, but I relocated it to this spot)

NOTE TO CACHERS: My original large cache was stolen (took the logbook too, and I am so sad). Relocated it and reduced the size of the box somewhat, but please NO TRAVEL BUGS or COINS until we see if this one goes missing!

This cache celebrates the long-standing tradition of fun in the outdoors that Troop 91 has carried on for over 60 years.
It contains Scouting patches, useful items for camping and outdoors fun, Scouting memorabilia and books, Scout toys and games, etc. It may also contain some patches from foreign lands, as Pyromomma loves to travel and visit Scout Troops in other countries as part of the World-wide Brotherhood of Scouting.
BSA Troop 91 has provided hundreds of youth from the Columbia SC area with a strong foundation of leadership, service, and community for over 60 years!

We have been to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, Florida Sea Base in the Keys, and Northern Tier High Adventure base in the wilds of Minnesota, and have hiked and canoed in nearly every place in South and North Carolina (we love to canoe camp!).

Plus we help out in numerous ways in our community by raising money and collecting goods for charities such as the Red Cross, 9/11 survivors, Katrina evacuees, Tsunami and Earthquake victims, local food pantries, and much more. We also pride ourselves in our support for our US Service personnel as they protect our country by service far from home. We try to send packages to troops in foreign theaters whenever possible.

We are chartered by Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church and welcome all youth from all nationalities and creeds to our troop.
Visit us on the web at (visit link) to see photos of our adventures, learn about our excellent Boy Led program, and even copy a camping recipe or two.

Caution: the speed bumps at the lower end of the parking lot near the cache are very tall. Use extreme caution when going over them or you may bottom out!

Please close the cache carefully and hide thoroughly from local muggle youth who can be a bother.
This cache MUST be Out Of Sight or it, too, will be stolen. NO TRAVEL BUGS or COINS for now, PLEASE log your find here with comments- I no longer have the logbook from the first one and I am so saddened to lose your kind Scouting wishes.

Note: In keeping with the Outdoor Theme of Scouting, please swap out items that relate to Scouts, Community Service, or adventures in the outdoors. If you do not have Scout or outdoor themed items to swap out, please write a note in our logbook about what you like about the outdoors and take an item home with you with our best Scouting wishes.

Scout On!
